Day 3: Market Tour (B/L)

Some of the most rewarding and memorable moments you will have during your time in Vietnam will occur while visiting local ethnic markets.

Cultural markets are well known by many travelers as a "specialty" of a tour to the North of Vietnam, a true characteristic of the ethnic minority people. Each market is a living museum of both cultural and community activities and local traditions wheretheways of old are perfectly preserved in a feast for all the senses. There is no common language here; each tribe uses its own language. On plastic sheets on the floor all manner of goods are displayed - a few bottles of forest honey, some agricultural products, small working tools ... The buzz of the exchanges, the bargaining, bartering, buying and selling – all combine for a lifetime’s worth of memories.

Day 4: Silver Waterfall – Heaven’s Gate – Sapa - Hanoi(B/L)

You will be met at around 8 a.m. by your local guide and driver and depart for the Silver Waterfall. The Silver Waterfall is located around half an hour from Sapa and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and lush forests of Hoang Lien National Park. It is recommended to stop by a farm for a cup of tea and chat with the people who will be delighted to give you an insight into local life. Then we continue our drive uphill to Heaven’s Gate, the highest stretch of road in Vietnam as well as the provincial border between Lào Cai and Lai Chau provinces. The views are truly breathtaking!.
